| Winter League
This year, to celebrate the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association's 50th Anniversary, instead of the usual Triples League, we have the Mixed Fours League starting from 26 November 2011 and ending on 25 February 2012. Altogether, 94 teams compete in this tournament. The 94 teams are drawn into 8 Divisions. We have three teams participating in this event. Team A competes in Division B, Team B competes in Division E and Team C takes part in Division F. Members of the three teams are:

HKLBA Golden Jubilee International Bowls Mixed Pairs Classic 2011
Organised by the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association, this Tournament was held from 14 to 20 November 2011. Bowlers from all leading bowling countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, England, Ireland, Fiji, Netherlands, South Africa, Cook Islands, Japan, Singapore, Norfolk Islands, Canada, Zambia, Zimbabwe and China participated in this event. John Luk and Ann Lam, the In-House Mixed Pairs 2011 champion represented the Club to compete in the Competition. Jacob Lam and Candy Ng, nominated by the Section, competed in this Competition as well.
Wednesday Practices
Starting from 23 November 2011 the lawn Bowls green will be closed for practice by league players on every Wednesday from 6pm till close of play that day. League players are required to roll up for practices in teams, comprising members of the group they belong to in the Mixed Four League 2011. Roll call will be taken to record members' attendance. Fifteen ends will be played, starting from 7pm. Group captains will be required to conduct briefing as regards to players' performance and team work.
Lawn bowling calls for skills and teamwork. It is also a sport that involves give and take. With an implementation of a consistent and mandatory practice session, hopefully we will be able to improve our skills and overall teamwork in the years to come.
In-house Centenary Lawn Bowls Tournament
To celebrate the 100th birthday of USRC, other than the Inter-Club Centenary Lawn Bowls Tournament held on 23 October 2011, the Sub-Committee also organised an in-house tournament exclusively for current section members on 11 December 2011. The format of the tournament was two bowls mixed triples and the combination of a team can either be one man with two women players or one woman with two men players. 42 members – 14 teams – took part in this event. While competitions were on-going on the green, others on their bye were having fun, talking and cheering each other. There was laughter everywhere that day.
National Competitions
In the Women's National Knock-Out Singles Competition 2011 held on 18 December 2011, Ms Angela Chau has done a great job and was the 1st Runner-up in this high level competition.
Ms Mercredi Yeung has also had a fantastic achievement. She is one of the finalists in the Women's National Singles Competition 2011. The final will be played in the Filipino Club on 26 February 2012.
