After many months of patient work, cricket at the USRC is finally getting off the ground. The recruitment of several sports members has enabled the club to field a full side in the Challenge League under the temporary captaincy of Amit Jain. Please join us in wishing Amit and the boys luck in their forthcoming fixtures.
With an eye on developing future players for the club, and to starting a junior squad, regular training for young players has started under the seasoned supervision of coach Ilyas Gull. Adult players are also meeting for weekly nets. Until the club acquires its own nets, these junior and adult sessions are taking place at the Pakistani Club, just across the road from the USRC. Juniors meet at the Pakistani Club at 10am on Saturdays, the grown-ups at 12.30. All experience levels are catered for.
Ilyas is especially interested in enrolling beginners aged 8 to 15. This is an exciting opportunity for you to get your children started in one of Hong Kong's and East Asia's fastest growing sports. But of course every member of every age is welcome. For further details on coaching or playing for the USRC, please call Ilyas on 94214741.
