Crested Bulbul
Pycnonotus jocosus Native to Asia, this frugivore or fruit eater is about 20 centimetres (7.9 in) in length. It has brown upper parts and whitish underparts with buff flanks and a dark spur running onto the breast at shoulder level. A tall pointed black crest and red face patch give it an distinctive appearance as distinctive as its liquid chatter. Common across Hong Kong it is a year-round resident of the USRC. |
