Pale Grass Blue is one of the most common butterflies in Hong Kong.

It is a small butterfly which usually stays close to the ground.

The male has an upper side of silvery light blue with a satiny sheen in certain lights while the female is brownish black with the basal halves of the wings slightly suffused with light blue.

Its larval food plant is Lavender Sorrel.

Commonly seen flying just above ground level in the garden in summer.
