Spotted Dove
Streptopelia chinensis The spotted dove is common to Hong Kong and has a mottled light brown body and wing with pink-brown head and underparts. The back of its neck is black with small white spots although young birds lack the dark patch on the neck. The adult bird grows up to 32 cm long. Normally found in pairs or small groups, it is likely to be resident at the club and can be seen all year round in the USRC gardens. |
